What we know about AA Flight 587

-Airbus A300
-GE CF680C2 Engines
-Altitude of approximately 2800'
-Flight time was approximately 2 minutes 24 seconds
-Rear Stabilizer (tail) detached from plane
-Both engines detached from plane
-Some reports of foreign matter in that engine suggesting bird intake
-Other reports from NTSB says that there is no evidence of bird intake (see links below).
-No evidence of internal failure of engines.
-CVR records normal conversations up until the last moments
-CVR records two loud rattles before pilots lost control.
-Pilots report wake turbulence after take off
-First Rattling occurs at 107 seconds after the takeoff roll, second rattling occurs 14 seconds later.
-Tape ends 23 seconds after the second rattle sound
-In those 23 seconds, the pilot reports losing control
-Flames seen coming from the fuselage, not wing (eyewitness report on the news)
