Karin,

The idea of a National ID Card is just another infringement on the privacy of honest individuals. As Jeff pointed out, those that need to be identified will find a way to avoid a national identification scheme like this, so the card will be of no help in finding, arresting, or prosecuting the bad guys. It's just like gun control laws. They only apply to the honest people that would never think of robbing, or killing, anyone. A criminal can find a gun with the serial numbers filed off on, just about, any street corner, in any city, in the U.S., for sale with no questions asked.

Those that believe in the book of Revelations in the Bible, recognize this as the beginning of assigning the number of the beast on all citizens of any nation for the sole purpose of finding, and rounding them up for what ever pleases a tyrannical government.

I have nothing to hide, and under normal circumstances, would not be distressed if anyone knew all about my past, and present, and I don't think that is the reason the Bush administration is considering this move. I believe that they are innocently falling into the trap of the goals of Satan. I know that will be ridiculed in some quarters, but I don't give a tinker's damn about that.
