* 19:44 ET Vitesse Semi (VTSS) 13.58 +1.66: Company announces workforce reduction of 10%, or 1,300, of worldwide staff; also notes that previously announced pro-forma guidance for Q1 (Dec) remains unchanged.

* 19:01 ET Global Crossing (GX) 1.07 +0.01: Reports Q3 (Sep) recurring EBITDA of $47 mln and cash revenues of $1.24 bln, in line with company's preannouncement of Oct 4. Company says that current Q4 consensus estimates are reasonable, and expects to achieve 10% service revenue growth and to approach EBITDA positive in 2002. Also cuts capital expenditure plans dramatically for 2002, to $1-1.25 bln from a bit less than $4.2 bln planned for 2002.

Only a major external event can cause the drop, imho...but Zeev's turnips have a great record.

Also seems to me that something major would have to change. But you're right, those turnips are amazing, so I'll just have to be patient. I'm just grumpy 'cause I'm sitting on 50% cash during this run.
