Dear David : There is a message for you . I know not what it means but you shall in time. The very thing you must consider first is that you are at WAR. The Lord is telling you to select His pathway and set your thoughts ( your face ) upon His. Neither look to the left nor to the right; be not distracted by the formation nor by the changes that are seen. This is very specific ! The Lord is telling you not to attack the enemy at his weakest points first. Go after the stronghold first. The predominate and the obvious ; go after first. David did not fight the army then Goliath. He took on Goliath first. Go after Goliath. Go after the largest and the biggest FIRST. Get mobile. Did not David shed his armor and got mobile .The Lord is telling you to get mobile. Be ready to move and quickly if need be. Then last David chose 5 smoothe river rocks and his sling and laid down his sword. Something very fast defeated Goliath. Rocks launched from a sling, going perhaps over a hundred miles an hour.. I hope this helps you in your decisions...as I have said the Lord will confirm to you what this means...I do not know but you shall.. Last.....once your decision is made , go with it and do not change your mind...follow through..remember you are at war....each and every day... The Lord will deliver the enemy into your hands.....but you must put all your trust and faith in Him and only then the doctors.In Christ.gregor

David, Those words of Amy Carmichael, that you quoted, were well chosen. They seemed to convey what has been going on and how it needed to be resolved. It is kinda funny, back when I was in College, I had a very good friend, his name was David. He used to tell me all the time, that confusion was not from the Lord. Dear David, You are in peace now, and rest. Such deserved rest from such a long hard battle. You never lost your faith and continued to encourage others and strengthen their faith during your own Gethsemane. I will miss your faith, miss your comfort for my miniscule problems, and miss your knowledge and spirit. Thanks for being my friend. I am truly blessed to have crossed paths with you, and hope to meet you someday on the other side. The Lord takes home special people early sometimes. We have to accept that. Such a good man.
