Constantine, I see it. AMD is sure aiming high with Hammer, but that only means that they have a lot to live up to. Imagine if Intel's 3.0GHz Pentium 4 comes close, or even outperforms the model 3400 Hammer. Quantispeed would soon be Quantigone.

P.S. On the other hand, you have a point. A Hammer that is truly based on a Palomino model number scale would offer a lot of performance. If the performance matches or exceeds the model number, then of course the opposite could be true, too.
