OK. I guess we need more data before it can be called "extremely bullish". There was also the NVDA conference call that hinted that demand was better than just a seasonal uptick..their graphics processors get into the majority of the PCs. That was an incredible opportunity to buy given how connected this company was to the industry.
I am finding that market reaction to news is a lot slower, compared to the good ole days.

In addition, I am looking at "expectations". I say that many analysts expected nothing out of the semis or the PC industry in the 4th quarter. They were misled by the drop off in the 3rd quarter into being too negative and I think they are still are...well they are only human.

Many pros will be surprised. That is the trade I have seen developing for a few weeks. In that sense, the news is "extremely bullish" (imho). I am almost finished with it for now...planning on taking profits near term and decrease risk....but will still stay long.

Does anyone have a hunch on how options expiration will play out this week.

My hunch is that if we keep going up tomorrow, it sets up for a strong close on Friday at the weekly high (no scenario for Thursday).

Can anyone make a link between the options activity and market direction for this week.
