>How could one "create" jobs when productivity is less manpower for a given output? <

Less manpower per output means more output not less manpower.................no? No loss of jobs here...Just newly created wealth which initself is economic stimulative thus more jobs ........seems to me... whatever, historical evidence would seem to back up the concept that productivity = jobs.........Just my tooo cents.

>>Marx could give an answer or two, or at least hints, on this subject<<

It seems to me that Marx's approach to job and wealth creation has been tried already. As I recall, it didn't work out too well.

>>For me it boils down to the questions of "who owns the productive means" and "how the newly created wealth is distributed".<<

Are you sure you're in the right place? Wouldn't you feel more comfortable here: wsws.org or here: cpusa.org
