Mish, there is so much fund money coming into the market in January it could make any market rise. Lots of profit sharing programs pay out after January 1st, and some 401-K and retirement plans do the same.

i see,IBM,counting today's volume now has just over 74,000 calls at 120.
did note there was a volume of 19,333 on QQQ39Novputs(OI but 6655) but like you say we don't know if sell-side or buy-side.Max
