What kind of advanced memory research is AMD doing?

Whatever they're doing, it must be pretty good for Fujitsu to invest so much in their fabs with AMD, so pound-for-pound AMD can ship more flash than Intel.

P4 smoked at Quake...

I guess there is always the "memory bandwidth" benchmark...
Is there an app or game to that effect?

Paul - Re:"What kind of advanced memory research is AMD doing?"

AMD is looking at advanced techniques to copy and retain Intel technology. It is part of the quanti-technology program. Copy Motorola, copy IBM, copy Intel.

At one time AMD was known for its innovative Si processes. But Jerry has taken AMD so far down that quanti-technology has replaced innovation.
