You raised a couple of good points.

But IMHO,

1) many Moslems are afraid to identify themselves (unnecessarily) as such for fear of being targeted by red-necks etc & etc;

2) their perception that the US and Israel are joined at the hip has existed for so long that it is now more or less equated to reality;

As a non-Moslem, I cannot speak for them.

But there is no denying that ever since 1947/1948, many Moslems have been seething over the fact that Arab lands had been taken away from Moslems for the birth of Israel. In this momentous event, many Moslems see the strong strong complicity of the US and Britain even though the United Nations was officially responsible for it.

As to the reasons for the complicity, I think it is best for me to leave that to others.
