Hynix Semiconductor Considers Sale of Non-Core Facilities
November 14, 2001 (SEOUL) -- Hynix Semiconductor Inc. announced Nov. 12 that all of its non-core facilities (fabs) are subject to potential sale.

The firm, which is attempting to secure much-needed liquidity, said the overall sales figures of its non-core facilities would likely surpass a trillion won.

The company said it is in negotiations with Chinese and Taiwanese companies to sell both chip facilities and production technologies, but added that nothing is definite.
