funny thing is we can be overbought and VIX oversold and still not go down talk about extremes...btw, I was looking at HWP news today...which is up pre-market yet 7:20 ET Hewlett-Packard (HWP) 20.23: -- Update -- Posts Q4 net of $0.19 a share (excluding items), which on first glance would appear to be a full $0.10 above the Multex consensus. A more reliable indicator of the quarter's strength is revenue, which came in at $10.9 bln, well above the $10.3 bln consensus. (Excluding items, company posted GAAP earnings of $0.05 a share. 50% is a pretty big miss and it goes up...now that's gotta be irrational <g> bwdik pundits tripping over themselves pumping and at the same time I'm sure they are dumping, I just don't buy it....
