AD,

I do not know why you are stunned. Facts are facts; those who made money on the short side on Monday did so at the expense of every person on board flight 587. I can only make money when AMAT is profitable, and I am content with that. You cannot say the same thing being short. Any other time, I may not say these things. However, now especially is not the time to profit from others misery, not that one ever should.

Again, these are simply the facts as I see them.

Regards,

Brian

OT--sorry Rich
Shouldn't be surprised at all AD. This is his nature. His way is the only way. If you dont like to be in a restaurant with smokers, he will tell you to leave. If you are pro-choice he calls you a baby killer. If you talk about nukes he calls you immoral. If you short amat on a day there is a plane crash you are "making money off of the death of others." He sits there in Pennsylvania and acts like he is a maharishi or something while he cavorts with his new found friend Jerome who i will kindly call only a bigot today. mike

** OT ***
AD,
I agree that making money out of short is no different than making money out of long. I strongly disagree with Brian's characterization of shorts as unpatriotics and all tthe BS.
What rights longs have in making money out of manufactured numbers and media hype? Did Wallstreet crooks
(I mean brokerage houses) stopped making money on Monday?
How many mutual/hedge funds sold that day while their paid shills (so called analyeasts) touted on tubes saying that we should be patriotics and buy stocks.
Will you stop making money out of defense stocks which manufacture weapons to destroy people?
Will you stop making money out of sin companies whose purpose is to create health hazards and make money out of that missery?

Blaming shorts is as short sighted and intolerant as flying in those bubble with their eyes covered with bubble colored lenses.
All IMHO.

Ps: I never shorted stocks and may not for ever.
