The Enron situation illustrates the obscenity of Big Business salaries. Even the WSJ recognized this by reporting that the CEO was eligible for a shocking $80M severance. The guy who ultimately is responsible for the share price of the company to slide 75% gets millions of dollars as his "reward," while Joe Worker gets laid off for the greed-fueled mistakes of top management and Joe Shareholder's $40,000 stake in the company is now worth $10,000. Yeah. I guess you're right. Why should any of us worry when something like this happens.
