PZ---agree with you 100%....it is just amazing how the market works in such turbulent times. The barbarians called the Northern Alliance takes Kabul and the market rockets up. No one pays attention to the fact that the US government did not want Norther Alliance to take the city--the US doesn't see them as much different than the Taliban---they murdered and butchered many in Kabul last 2 days....as for the plane...hmmm how many planes loose both engines...and a tail section.....2 months after WTC and around the same time of morning 9:15am....wonder how many Al Queda members are also on the ground at JFK etc and performing maintance or handling baggage with a wrentch in their pocket and "a little time" on their side.
US investigators will do what they must do to downplay this----the airline industry is sick sick and an event like this could wipe them out. I watched the interview with President Putin of Russia. I found it quite interesting watching his face and body motion when he was asked about nuclear suite-case bombs missing from the former Soviet Union........
Suspect another day will come where we will wonder when the financial markets will re-open.....that is still very vivid in my mind.....but now...if the momos wanta buy....then on with the trade....but this guy has one finger on the sell button.
