Gotta kill them.

if you do not allow men to change their mind. if you do not allow them to surrender and live in peace. if you do not treat prisoners with some human dignity, there is no motivation for others to ever surrender or change their mind and every battle becomes a 100% fight to the death.

i do not accept the argument that it has happened before or that is how it is in afghanistan. if that is how it was...then that needs to change right now.

war is brutal. but a massacre of unarmed, defenseless humans who have no will to fight is not right under any circumstances. isn't that what started this in NYC. that is why we are there...but does anyone really think that we should kill them all and let God sort them out?
should we persuade them, with psychological operations and the brutal and deadly force of our weapons, of the hopelessness and futility of their position and ultimately into surrendering only to be summarily put to death.

no way...and if we do, we too shall be doomed on future battlefields.
