It is amazing what one man can do. Bush, as leader of the free world, has shown better leadership skills than I ever imagined for ANY of our current politicians. Gorbachev lead Russia out of the age of the tyranny of occupation. And, now Putin, if he survives, can help to build a "free" world alliance, capable of destroying terrorism, and leading to world peace.

OTOH, when you have demented or corrupt leaders, as in North Korea and Iraq, where they party and dance while their people starve, there is little hope for those countries, in the near future.

I even think that General Musharraf is going to surprise the world and India. I'm not sure what he is up to, but his latest moves against the Talibans and against the extremists in Pakistan, give one hope.
