AMAT and the bull Market.....

AMAT rallies on and after the earnings release with a reduced outlook for the next quarter.

Its my opinion that the tech stocks are in a rally mode with only part of the sideline money stepping up to buy.

Look at HWP today no growth...lowered expectations...anemic earnings and so forth.. And the stock is up nicely.

Yesterday it was Texas Instruments and Corning saying that the bottom is past with no further deterioration in business expected.

Investors want to hear that things will not get worse. They are not dumping a whole lot of money into the market, but enough to keep it at current valuations and somewhat higher.

Jacobs post are very logical and his fears are real. How can the market keep going up on such poor economic news? The answer is that there is an undetermined amount of Federal stimulus about to enter the market. Has there been a period of time where interest rates consistently fell and the market did not respond? (except the depression era)

Brian is right....I'll keep my posts on topic on this thread and use the Off Topic feature on the other thread.

Regards, Jerome
