I mean, he didn't have to marry Eleanor for power the way people say Clinton and LBJ did with their unfortunate-looking wives. Or did FDR think he was getting away with something, like incest? Dems like to get away with things. I always think it odd when the husband is prettier than the wife. But that seems to be a theme among Dems. Not so much because the husbands are so good-looking but more because the wives are so NOT.
