Why anyone in his right mind would expect us to get bogged down in taking out the Taliban, I do not
know.......

If we were both stupid and unlucky we could have gotten bogged down even with our military capabilities.. We could be unlucky at any time. Some think the US is always stupid, and many liberals thought of Bush as stupid.

I don't know either. That's why I view criticisms of our air campaign suspiciously. To attack such a sound plan seems ludicrous. WS was also pretty liberaly throwing out the suggestion that people who beleive in our air capabilities were not using "facts" to support their opinions. I don't know if you can call them "facts", but Bosnia, Iraq and the retreat of the Taliban are pretty compelling examples of circumstantial evidence at least.
