Wally: I think you are right. I don't see the case for easing here anymore. First, the initital easings are just beginning to work through the economy now. Anything done now won't hit until next summer at the earliest. So what is the point when all those easings are in the pipeline? Besides, Greenie must conserve bullets and he certainly does not want comparisons to Japan to be on the table. And then there is Congress with it stimulus plan. And then there is the retired who is getting hit by lower rates. I really do not see the case for any more easings. He has got it all hanging out there right now, future exogenous events notwithstanding.
