The point on the barriers that I was making is the change from no barriers to barriers. Moving 5 100 ton barriers in just doesnt happen because the road department has some spare barriers and needs to store them(they might do that in N.C. though ggg). As for do I feel safer? No. The placement just prevents a deep intrusion of a vehicle in to a point that could damage the entire structure.
