I'm buying Dec 35 QQQ puts.

I'm already in Dec 34's that are underwater. I think the rise has left the market quite vulnerable here. I have not seen much to suggest that the economy is any better off since Sept. 11 and the comp is up 200 points off the pre-Sept. 11 close, yet again priced for perfection. Not that fundamentals seem to matter. The discontinuation of the long bond was yet another attempt to postpone the inevitable imo. Stock valuations ultimately reflect cash flow.

Nonetheless, going short is mostly based on the technical picture, not the fundamentals which obviously dont seem to matter. We've had yet another violent bear market rally that imo is about to run out of steam at least in the ST.

I'll close the position if we take out 1940 with oompph.
I'll take the loss and look for another point to short. I got long near the Sept. 11 low and sold those positions at comp 1750. Would have loved to have held out for the highs but I dont think it's time for ltbh right now.
