Techreports,

>your thoughts on EMC and INTC?

I doubt that I have any more insight in EMC and INTC
technologically and market-wise than what is discussed on
G&K thread.

I believe that INTC has a strong lock on processor market
with a possible marginalization of SUNW in the future.
It is not a sure outcome, but quite possible. INTC can
do well in the palmtop market, but it is not
assured. The rest of their expansion into networks and
mobile wireless pits them against other large
established players and is not guaranteed at all.

I doubt that buying nVidia would be a good direction
for Intel. I also think that Intel should not focus
on killing AMD, but rather on gaining business in
currently not dominated fields (servers - SUNW,
mobile devices, etc.). Their gain with Xbox may be
a good stepping stone or bowling pin in G&K lingo.

Given this, can we argue for 10 year 22% growth for INTC?
It is definitely not blue-blood conservative estimate,
but I am willing to give a benefit of hope and hold
the stock for now with this assumption.

Regarding EMC, I am assuming 20% growth for 10 years.
This also could be optimistic. I have no insight in
their battle with NTAP, Hitachi, IBM, etc. to
make any predictions on the outcome. I am basing
my investment on their historical performance and will
reevaluate my position on any clarifying information.

Can I post this reply publicly on G&K thread?
Please let me know
