I dunno, AMAT may pull a QCOM, gap sharply lower and close sharply higher. I didn't see anything to be "fearful" about, other than a small miss. The CC will be telling, as always, but I think we're back in the "buy on any dip" mentality, much to the frustration of the bears.

Even SNDK is rising now. <g>

AMAT trading down .90-.95 cents from close in AH. Then again, QCOM was down over $5 in AH after its earnings and finished up nearly $2 the following day. Go figure. AMAT action tomorrow will depend on the "spin" during conference call and reaction to IBM analyst's conference later this P.M.

This liquidity rally is expected. However, earnings conference calls point to a dismal near term outlook. Therefore, this rally could break down very quickly at anytime.

In my opinion(IMO). no visibility with excess capacity and weakening demand means, " it's better to say nothing than to say something negative which drives down the stock price."

I place more importance on fundamentals than momentum. Therefore, I am waiting for my target buy prices at huge discounts.

I earned a little vacation.
