Yes, he who owns the most gold gets to control the price -g-. Newmont will control more gold production. Producers will eventually control the prices paid and be selling directly to the public without the bankers (err, crooks) in the middle.

The central banks and bullion banks have controlled the price of gold for years. Bankers know how to make money for doing nothing other than changing the price of things on paper...enough said

Three major bullion banks folded up after the Sept 11 spike in gold and silver. Also with real interest rates near zero or negative the carry trade doesn't make money.
