bobby, I don't know about a major selloff here. Too much is changing and has changed in technology. I am looking for a boom in electronic items this Christmas season. That is going to be a factor in how tech stocks do.

I believe the dips in the coming week or so will be bought up by funds looking to reallocate funds..out of money market/bonds. I would even bet that hedge funds are turning bullish. Short funds of course don't have a choice but they may start getting some redemptions...which translates into short covering.

It is reasonable to trade for a short term drop but don't do it on AMAT's negative earnings. I might sell most of my long trades tomorrow..and keep only a core holding beyond that.

BTW--about your technical indicators..they went over my head and I had no clue of what you are suggesting.<g>
The only thing that matters is your conclusion...and you are getting bearish. I prefer to buy long..sell..and then buy again...skipping the shorting process. I am ready to sell my longs but just getting greedy since I think the intermediate picture for tech companies will be better than "expectations".

JMHO.
