Jacob,
You need to factor in $17 oil and probably 70 cent gas into your equation. That alone adds another 40 billion to consumers pocket books. Another 50 billion in tax rebates. Could we setting up to avoid your second leg of the recession theory. In any case the existing bull market in stocks should continue thru this period when the market is traditionally strong anyway. That could take us to March. Your thoughts Alaskan Guru. mike
