The guy is dead, from Tabasco to KFC to Windows, US rules the world, and this for many is an indigestible phenomenon. Look around you, even in Kabul you would find Pepsi and Coke hoardings. You have a Raj without Queen Victoria or King George 5, naturally protecting interests would mean duties beyond the normal call. A young American would have to be taught of this global reach, that I see missing unfortunatley. The inability to stand to a challenge leads to more serious issues. US may have to live to stand with new challenges. This is overstretch that England could not sustain in their heydays of empire of Raj you may call it. US achieved it overnight without sending any marines across. Much as I would be a proud American I would also be a very conscious American knowing the obligations that goes with this kind global stretch. You are not fully aware of the kind of obligations you have towards the globe, for simple reason by design (I don't think so) or by destiny ( I think so ) your model is the model that world loves to follow and hate. From France to Afghanistan people love and hate America with equal intensity. Envy plays a major role in all of that. Sitting on a high pedestal I enjoy it to the hilt, I see it everywhere. This is what is known as imperial overstretch most of them American are not aware of it, rather the US government always want to withdraw from responsibility talks about insular instincts inadvertently, but unfortunate it may sound for many, the responsibility of the globe lies today on shoulder of a continent what we all know as North America. The inventiveness of Us has led that obligation on your very weak shoulders, I can understand your concerns that why should Kabul or Cairo stability be your concern but US corporatist are the economic future of the world, take them out, we have junk out their, when you have this kind of global responsibly, the blood of US soldiers and will of US soldiers to protect their global interest is their concern. I also understand the unwillingness of US public that what the heck is this responsibility but much as I have always said that corporate structures of US have no known boundaries, they are truly global so is the responsibility of US. I have to run it is my Enterprise time .. Captian Picard is on..
