Windsock, "These products are slipping one quarter per quarter !!"

Why such a hysteria, Windsock? If you are
serious and follow the AMD, you would notice from
the recent analyst conference, Dirk Meyer's part of
presentation, Slide36.jpg, that the 0.13 Hammer,
with M3400 rating, is on the roadmap for 4Q2002.
So, what's the news?

However, the schedule is indeed under continuous revision.
I keep a collection of AMD roadmaps for some time.
According to the "DDR-roadshow" held on 8/31/2000
somewhere in Taiwan, the roadmap shows "Mustangs"
on last 1/3 of 2000, and "8x-generation Hammer"
in the beginning of 2001.

It is interesting
that the introduction of Hammer family was always
tied to 0.13u SOI technology on AMDs roadmaps. So
I guess people need to watch closely the SOI
developments at AMD in order to forecast the
actual Hammer appearance.
