"keep it up and I will shower the Intel thread with AMD positive stuff"

re: positive stuff

I would not call it positive as it verifies that no is buying Itanium yet

"Many high performance customers are considering the Itanium Product Family and Linux in their strategic planning. The Silicon Graphics 750 bundle provides an excellent development environment to help them with evaluation of these new exciting developments in 64-bit computing," said Greg Estes

What the heck have you been doing for days? Your yellow rain is all over the Intel thread.

Bill, Re: "why all the OT stuff? keep it up and I will shower the Intel thread with AMD positive stuff"

I agree that many of the the Intel news postings have not been particularly relevant (as well as a lot longer than any value to this thread) and would more appropriately be posted on the Intel thread.

However, I don't think a response in kind on the Intel thread is appropriate as this is exactly the problem this thread has continually sought to limit.

I wouldn't consider Intel news to be off topic here. Of course posting every minor design win or insignifcant press release might be a waste of time but it can be a waste of time without also being off topic.
