Another posit:

In order to implement The Federal DNA database, every resident is required to present himself to a Federal ID station for DNA examination.

Problem?

Hi Neo. The premise was that there was a national database with samples from the entire population. Message 16662504

I think a lot of people will have a problem with that.

We haven't much discussed establishment of everyone's correct i.d. in the first place so the database isn't corrupt from the outset. You would see people coming in to establish multiple i.d.'s with the same DNA, and I hazard a guess that it won't be found out until they're looking for somebody with a certain DNA, and ten different names and i.d.'s pop up on the computer. It would wind up being more of a circus than the O.J. Simpson trial.

But first, who can explain the benefits of a national i.d. card, including how it would have prevented 9.11 and any future attack?
