I was speaking about the historical calendar performance of small caps. This is the best time of year to be in them, historically. Coming out of a recession would be extra fuel for them.

As for leading economic indicators- The market is the best leading economic indicator for the economy. It's not always correct, but it does always lead. Not sure what all is included in the various leading economic indicators. I think interest rates have to be in there, stock prices of course, factory orders probably.

Maybe the ECRI web site has info on its indicators. You could check Dismal.com too.
