International Rectifier Introduces Compact, High Current, Three-Phase Bridge Rectifier for Space-Restricted, Industrial Applications
biz.yahoo.com
EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2002--International Rectifier, IR(r) (NYSE: IRF) today introduced the 200MT40KB compact, high current, three-phase input bridge rectifier with improved forward voltage drop characteristics for more efficiency, and higher current capability.

Bridge rectifiers are a necessary component for any electronic device requiring the conversion of alternating current (AC) to useful direct current (DC), for heavy-duty and industrial applications such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), motor drives and welding.

The new bridge rectifier is designed for heavy-duty applications such as portable welders and alternator systems where space is at a premium and power losses must be minimized.

The 200MT40KB is rated at 400V blocking voltage and 200A output current at 85 degrees Celsius, and expands the existing IR line of compact, high-current three-phase bridge rectifiers which includes voltage ranges from 800V to 1600V, and current ratings from 100A to 160A.

Dr. Francesco Vallone, International Rectifier Product Marketing Manager said, ``This three-phase bridge rectifier delivers 25% more output current with 6% lower maximum forward voltage drop, making it the most powerful three-phase bridge module on the market. The new bridge rectifier is fully-compatible with the industry-standard INT-A-Pak module package.''
