To answer your question, when we get this sort of overlap, think coil. For Elliot, think diagonals and triangles. The first is always (nearly) ending a move. The second is a corrective pattern before the move containing the triangle continues -- they are b's or 4 (rarely 2's). Both ending diagonals and triangles have 5 overlapping waves in them.

I have but glanced at the day, but it looks like the Dow *might be* doing an ending diagonal and tech looks like it's coiling in a triangle since yesterday.
