Not sure about the blow off toward the end of the year, as every one anticipate that. Further I am not sure were tax selling effect will be this year as Sept 11 scrambled the picture.

If one made cost averaging and would like to take tax losses FIFO will work just fine for him - e.g. take the loss and hold the profitable acquisition from Sept 22.

but who knows.
