Cheese is better for you, but if they'd just leave the extra sugar out, yoghurt wouldn't be bad. << i don't see low-sugar yogurt in the store. all i see is low-fat and 97% fat free yogurt. when the greedy, money-grubbing processed food companies starting selling low-sugar yogurt i will buy it and eat it. >> Still, I'm not gonna make a cause out of it. Even if the sugar cartel does own a few pols, I don't suspect Dannon of conspiring with them and the medical profession to keep us dependent on doctors. << i never said it was a conspiracy. the refined food industry is simply acting out of their selfish own greed. they know that there are little profits to be made in fresh food that is good for you like meat and dairy. there are tremendous profits to be had from using unhealthy hydrogenated fats, chemicals, sugar, and white flour. they can make low-fat food loaded with flour, sugar, chemicals for pennies that will stay fresh on the shelf for a year. they can mark that up several hundred percent and enrich themselves while poisoning their customers. meat is more expensive than bread, rice, pasta, etc, but the key factor is that it's far more expensive to produce. you cannot mark up meat several hundred percent like you can a box of poison which contains sugar and flour at a few pennies per pound. that is the vested interest in the processed food industry getting you addicted to sugary, cheap, chemical-laden food. as for doctors, they are just plain arrogant and pompous. they aren't willing to admit that they have been wrong about things like fat, margarine, etc. they have fancy degrees from fancy medical schools and to admit that they don't have a frigging clue would be too hard for them to do. doctors love the fact that the public takes the info they spew hook line, and sinker. it is also in their selfish interest to make sure that you rely on them to make you feel better rather than healing yourself through proper nutrition. after all, if people started eating right, we wouldn't have to run to their office to get our cholesterol, blood pressure, etc checked all the time. the drug companies wouldn't be able to push all these drugs on us if people just ate right. follow the money trail and you can usually figure out the motivations for all these phony notions perpetrated upon decent americans. liberals of all people should be the ones leading the charge. if they really want to raise the standard of living for minorities, they should rail against the processed food industry to stop pushing cheap poison on poor people. people with higher incomes usually can afford better more nutritious food, and also better health care. for example, poor people are forced to buy margarine because it's 50 cents a pound rather than $3 for butter.
