XP is also another step for MSFT to become big brother in marketing all kinds of cr%p to you, i.e. passport.

I've hear a lot of this stuff where they assess what you've got in the way of hardware can be thwarted by simply registering as a laptop -- not sure that is right, but it is what I heard.
