John re IBM and PCs... oh ye of little faith... i think Jesus made this statement to his devoted disciples when a storm was raging...he promptly said 'peace' and the storm quit. possibly MDell would say to thee John, "Oh, ye of absolutely no faith"? unlike Gerstner, Palmisano is no miracle worker. i think Palmisano is also more practical than Gerstner; once he reviews this quarter's results he may conclude differently. i don't believe IBM's new PC commercials are having their intended effect. how mucher longer can IBM expect to continue losing money on PCs? they've been losing money, overall, for nearly two years now. personally i think the IBM commercials are poorly done; unlike Dell's commercials. but, maybe this is just a personal preference regarding "commercials"
