Just planted 200 Impatiens the day before Hurrican Michelle was supposed send us some rain.. Teaspoon of Osmocote around each they are doing great. Impatiens do great in South Florida from November 1st till about April 1st.. Just the opposite of you I guess..

A rumor I heard... that today is your birthday! Hope you have a very Happy Birthday!!! I spent about 4 hours working in my greenhouse yesterday...which is now an official "survival of the fittest" greenhouse. During our CA energy crisis last year, I completely turned off the heat in order to save energy...but a month ago I turned on the heat again. It is amazing how well some of the orchids have survived with total neglect. I've watered them, but other than that....they've been ignored! Have a great day!
