Why dont we just begin with simple stuff like...

Lying is wrong (even about sex).


So it's wrong for me to tell my wife her new hairdo looks nice when I don't think it does.

And it was wrong for me to tell my 4 year old that Santa Clause gave her that doll when really I did.

Gee, by your standards I guess I'm a pretty bad guy.

If morality is this hard to define in the simple area of one-to-one interactions, it becomes harder on a societal level and much, much harder in the international sphere. It's easy to say we should act morally as a nation. It's a whole lot harder to define what acting morally actually requires or prohibits.
