I have had sweet tater pie. It is good, although I prefer pumpkin.....By the way, my wife is from Missouri (also a border state), and her paternal grandparents were from around Pittsburgh. Her maternal grandparents, though, were native Missourians, and some of her distant relations did, in fact, own a few slaves. On the other hand, she was from Kansas City, which is almost Western, and from the Country Club district, near Mission Hills and Shawnee Mission, which is the most "Eastern" part of the city. And she has lived most of her life in Annapolis. How is that for a real American?
