<<I'm off for a week of thanksgiving which includes driving the used 2001 BMW (are you listening you subversive, Gottfried?) from Austin tx to San Diego and then home to N. Calif..>>

Too bad it's not a Pontiac. Then you would be assured the trip of a lifetime.
Is it just me or do these new Pontiac commercials seem a little strange. As near as I can tell, The Pontiac spokesperson gives a group of friends the use of a Pontiac Grand Prix for one week. This is seen by the recipients as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This gift is so generous, the mere thought of driving a Grand Prix so utterly tempting, that it cannot be turned down. It just cannot be turned down. The friends immediately phone their managers at work requesting an emergency week of leave. With pay, without pay is irrelevant. And off they go on their trip of a lifetime.

BTW you shouldn't have mentioned to this board that you, a democrat from NorCal, will be in Austin TX. Big Dog, Jim P et. al. will have the Texas Rangers out looking for you.

The optical group going nuts lately - JDSU, AVNX, NUFO, ONIS, CORV. Spurring AMCC, PMCS and other suppliers.
I'm sitting on LT positions in JDSU, JNPR and PMCS, so I'm not complaining, but I have no idea where this came from. Maybe its the "running of the cats and dogs" prior to meltdown.

Warp

Didn't we have some CORV and NUFO holders out there?

Ed, re >driving the used 2001 BMW< I envy you 'cause I'm still driving my '83 Maxima. The new car I had intended to buy this year has become a victim of cost cutting. [other measures were a cheaper brand of dog food. The brand name is 'Attaboy' from Costco. I think they may change the name because of Atta's notoriety]. No research, eh? Can't blame you, seeing how charts tell all. Unless the stock is ENE. I bet you have a personalized license plate. :)

Gottfried

OT - More on Biotech

Hi ed,

Here's something that might be of some interest on valuing biotech, the article is best about two-thirds of the way through:
