To All, Strange happenings in gold. Please don't call the Net Nazis because I am reporting a rumor I can't prove. I saw a headline on Iwon.com this morning that read "Barrick may make bid for Anglo-Gold." When I clicked on the story, it simply said "no data." And I can't find it anywhere else. The story is a report of a rumor. And now the story itself may be a rumor. But I saw it. I didn't make it up. Give me my Prozac. <g>

I hope it's false. The combination would be a DeBeer's of gold mining. And it would also hasten ASA's inevitable forced position of holding only one company in their fund portfolio. <VBG>
