That's why MSFT has submitted C# to ECMA for standardization. What independent body is working to standardize Java?

Don't know, but the author makes a good case for it. And Bill has a good point about standardization.

MSFT has won almost every battle they've entered and I highly suspect that they'd like to put Java on the backburner.

Speaking of winning battles, I went to Office Depot yesterday and the number of PDA's on display that run Windows was far greater than the PALM OS PDA's. This is a huge change from just a few months ago.

MSFT is starting to overtake PALM in the PDA war and eventually I think they will win this market decisively. PALM struggles to turn a profit and avoid bankruptcy and MSFT has piles of cash to put into this battle at this time.

They'll win, once again.

IMO,
Dave
