I don't follow you. My comment on the Taliban was trying to reflect their reality that they don't share our attitude toward the value and equality of women -- something I assume you are well aware of and deplore as much as I do. Or am I wrong, and do you support the Taliban position? I certainly don't.

As to the book, what was disparaging about asking what was different about making feminist sense of international politics from simply making sense of international politics? And I notice that you didn't offer any insight on that for me or the others on the thread, just told me to read the book, which was, frankly, unhelpful. I was hoping you would give me some reason to want to read the book (other than that you liked it), but you chose not to.

At this point, I don't feel that there's any area of disagreement between you and I that needs to be worked out. If there is, let me know.
