"Frontline" had a very good piece last night about a growing Islamic sect in Saudi Arabia, Wahhabism, which has had close ties with the Taliban... In fact they are just as radical and there are more of them. This "religion" is being funded with Saudi oil money. 15 of the 19 trade center terrorists originated from Saudi Arabia. bin Laden is a hero among the masses in Saudi Arabia, therefore the title of the program is "Saudi time bomb?".

pbs.org

Very interesting and enlightening reading, especially the interviews... pbs.org

"... Exactly. If you don't believe in Salafi (Wahhabi), you are not a human being. You are something of a lower grade, that you can be persecuted or hurt, and it is OK, accepted, in that ideology. It's accepted to be killed, or maimed... The religious authority in Saudi Arabia control the justice system. This is very important. ... All the judges in Saudi Arabia are Salafi. ... And mostly Nejdi from the central region in Saudi Arabia, which creates a lot of problems for the rest of Saudi citizens. ..."

"...Yes. That's true. The Saudi government has systematically financed the propagation of Salafi Islam, by spending hundreds of millions of dollars on three out of seven universities in Saudi Arabia [that] are religious universities. They built thousands of mosques around the world, including the United States. They have given free scholarships to non-Saudis, to come and study Salafi and become Salafi. They sent 2,000 Salafi clerics around the world every summer. They print books by the millions in every languages to promote Salafi Islam. They have conventions, conferences."

>Are there any other excerpts you want to read to us from any of these books?<

"... It says here, it says number four: It is permissible in Islam to destroy, burn, and vandalize the fortresses of kofar. American or Christians are kofar. And everything that they destroy, everything that they use ... against Muslims ... if the destruction was to support Islam and destroy the kofar."

This was my post yesterday on celeberatiopn in Sind.......Never before Sindh had celebrated victory of a country over other country with such fervour as they celebrated the victory of Anglo-American coalition over Afghanistan last week. As people heard the news of fall of Kabul they came out on the streets. They, accompanied by drums, danced in frenzy to the tune of their favourite song 'Jeway Jeway-Amrika, Ho Jamalo'. They fired volleys of live ammunition in the air. Distributed sweets. Exchanged bouquets. Dined with friends. Ten years ago when Afghanistan had inflicted crushing defeat over Soviet Union and had driven them out from their soil Sindh had not celebrated their victory with fanfare. But, last week Sindhis from Karachi to Kashmore and Kandhkot celebrated the victory of Anglo-American forces over Afghanistan.

This was what I wrote on Oct 21, naming people who mattered, I had no doubt that if one state will come see through this it would be my country. We were hostages of this extreme Islam, the nation showed it well, today no one is worried about those who opted to get killed, the borders of nation are officially closed for returning Pakistanis extremist from Kabul. Sind celebrated because majority of Sind was happy, although the media insisted on that fringe population that was vocal..

This attempt will fall on his face, no tribes will support him, even schools in Quetta are re-opening from 22nd after being closed since air invasion started, DalBindin is the heart land of Baluch tribes, they are secular, they are fiercely against 'Mullahism' although North western province is different, but after seeing 'talibanisation' no one IN tribal areas want this kind of experiment in Pakistan, sometime these Pakistani Mullahs do lip service that is good for 'others' but none so far has left their hell holes to join the Jihad that will give them one way ticket to hell. Just take this as another attempt to sensationalise by coward Mullah Omar, they never thought that wrath of god will be so hard, let them get it, they deserve every bit of it. I have been talking to my friends for last few weeks like Sardar Akbar Bugti in dear Bugti, Sardar Attaulaah Khan Mengal based in Kyc, Abdul Samad Achakzai in Quetta, Khan Abdul Wali Khan in Charsad Bagh wali, the Khan of Kalat, Pir Sahib Pagara of Sind , Pir of Ranipur AND Mukhdoom Amin Fahim of Hala, these are the people who matter in Baluchistan and Sind and in places like Dalbindin and Jacobabad. This is the land of 3 gun each individual and this land is very free and very concerned about religious exploitation. All these people with exception of none are supportive of the action of US.
Rest assure, I know Dalbandin and Pasni and Gawadar I am son of the soil, I was born nearby in Sukkur, know these places like back of my hand, I expect no surprises. US forces are based in some of these areas and helicopter attacks are going in form most of these as I told you earlier we are doing what quietly like no other nation in the world could have done in terms of eliminating the root of evil. >
