"But if one of our parts is the divine (or God)"

All 3 bodies arise in the Divine, or are lived by the Divine. The causal body is the one that continues from "life" to "life". It contains the "tendencies" or
inclination to experience things, others, events, etc. in certain ways, unique to that being.

"then we all have God within us"
Yes, but not just within us, also all around us.

"If we were able to shed the ego"
paradoxically, you don't actual "shed" the ego, but rather
you give your attention, feeling, breath and service to the Divine, and increasingly are fully lived by the Divine, and become a vehicle for the Divine.

"we would have the ability to experience the divine?"
"experience" is something that the ego has, and the ego
(being a contraction of the Divine) cannot experience the
Divine. Oneness with the Divine by definition is oneness with All and Everything that IS and lives All and Everything.

If you would like to have a further understanding of this,
reread the piece I gave you from Adi Da. It will make more sense over time.

Don't worry about asking questions. I am glad to reply,
within the framework of my ability to do so.

Namaste!
