Chris431,
I tend to agree. I've been window shopping for an eventual HDTV purchase at various electronics discounters for a couple months, quick stops while on other errands. Usually check the PC prices also (which are in virtual free fall).

With the exception of weekends, many places are deserted except for a few guys eyeballing the new TV's in anticipation of football season or holiday purchases. Prices on the new TV's have steadied a bit in anticipation of this, btw, so any purchase of mine will be put off till after the holidays, ggg.

But what has really grabbed my attention is the fact that on many of my weeknight visits there has been no one in the PC sections of some large stores, like Circuit City. No one! And even with the TV shoppers, salespeople have outnumbered customers. Don't know how these concerns are going to pay their rent if things don't pick up.

Best Regards,

Roebear

I agree with these two articles on the future of technology. This is why I believe tech has too much capacity and will see revenues flat to down for the next couple of years at least. Building Star Wars could change my outlook. Profit margins will improve after enough competition has shut its doors.
