That's a riot! They must have downloaded the document from the internet, unaware that was a parody. i love this:

The parody document reads: "The device basically works when the detonated TNT compresses the Plutonium into a critical mass. The critical mass then produces a nuclear chain reaction similar to the domino chain reaction . . . .The chain reaction then promptly produces a big thermonuclear reaction. And there you have it, a 10 megaton explosion!"

Hope they downloaded more from the journal of irreproducible results. Maybe they are also working on cold fusion.
This reminds me of an Israeli disinformation campaign they used against the Iraqis when the Iraqis were designing their atomic bomb. The Israelis published a method for refining uranium using lasers, and had it appear in several scientific journals and conferences. This was a hoax, but very well done, so that others tried to reproduce it but couldn't. The Iraqi scientists, who were well trained in nuclear engineering (from the US) chased that for years, trying to figure out how the Israelis had done it, and reproduce it. That wasted a lot of time they might have otherwise used to follow real leads. This is one of many fascinating stories in the book "Saddam's Bombmaker : The Daring Escape of the Man Who Built Iraq's Secret Weapon
by Khidhir Hamza," which I highly recommend.
